Girls in Boys' Cars - Riverside Theatre

Riverside's National Theatre of Parramatta is set to ignite the stage with the world premiere of Felicity Castagna’s award-winning novel, Girls in Boys’ Cars.



This unforgettable theatrical journey that celebrates the spirit of escapism and the resilience of young women daring to carve their own path. Directed and adapted by the extraordinary Priscilla Jackman, this sophisticated stage adaptation invites you to hop on board a Thelma and Louise esque road trip filled with a whirlwind of trouble and challenges.



Ziggy Resnick (known for Griffin Theatre Company’s "A is for Apple") and Nikita Waldron (the winner of the Australian Theatre for Young People) take the wheel as Asheeka and Rosa, a fierce and adventurous young duo determined to break free from the constraints of cultural expectations and societal pressures.





With powerful performances by Suz Mawer (bAKEHOUSE Theatre Company’s The Laden Table), Ella Prince (Bell Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors) and Alex Stamell (Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers). Girls in Boys’ Cars is the latest addition to Riverside’s National Theatre of Parramatta’s fresh and ever-evolving program that spotlights authentic, inclusive voices.
